Miss Burlesque North America
August 19, 2020
Since 1964 Miss Burlesque World titles have been awarded to the best in burlesque and cabaret entertainment. Traditionally the contest was held as apart of the prestigious MNW series meant to award showgirls with the highest honor. Today, Miss Burlesque World has established it's dominance as a title series for the best in both theatrical entertainment and cabaret performance. Now the event continues its partnership with MNW and the Miss Exotic Pageant Series while hosting independent events in theatres and other venues. Historically the contest was held only in the United States hosting performers from around the world. Over the past 15 years, the contest has expanded to be held in Australia, the United States, and Canada. Since its establishment, the MNW, Miss Exotic Pageant Series and Miss Burlesque World have crowned legends like Catherine D'Lish (1998), inspired artists and shaped careers. Former champions have gone on to receive independent Vegas show contracts, extended world tours and appearances in magazines, radio shows, and movies. Miss Burlesque World is more than a title, its a legacy. By winning, an artist becomes part of a 57-year long history.
