Competitor Rules & Regulations
Competitors will compete with one performance. There is only final round no preliminaries or semi-finals.
Show length: 5 minutes for newcomers (rising stars) 8 minutes for elite (-10 points for every 10 seconds past limits)
Production set up time: 1 song set up and 1 song takedown (-10 points for every 30 seconds after limits.)
Coverage guidelines: minimum coverage pasties and thong. No genitals or nipples can be showing or you will be disqualified.
No overly explicit content. These shows are the act of the tease.
no aerial acts (chair dance is ok, no rigging will be available. No Lyra, silks or pole dances. Props attached to portable poles for stability are ok. You must only be using the prop, if you pole dance (invert, climb, iron x ext..) you will be disqualified.)
no fire acts
You will be performing in a theatre or convention setting, crowd interaction off stage is prohibited.
Competitors will be judged on the following categories:
story and audience comprehension
make up and hair
THERE IS NO JUDGING CATEGORY BASED ON PHYSIQUE
High and low scores are thrown out. The remaining scores are averaged. No contestants can interact with judges the day before the event or they will be disqualified.

Rising Star and Miss Burlesque International are reserved for not touring, non-professional burlesque entertainers who are seeking their first major title.
Miss Fetish Burlesque world is reserved for an already well-established elite professional whom's show has been choreographed with a twist of alternative or neo-burlesque style and fetish influences.
Miss Burlesque world is reserved for an already well-established elite professional whom's show has choreographed with a Classique or neo-burlesque style with no fetish elements (whips, dominance, submission, ropes ext...).
